Wesley Schmidt has been canoeing and running trips the Fox for over 25 years.  He runs Schmidt's Canoeing Service with the help of his wife and two sons.  They pride themselves on the excellent service they provide for their customers.

In addition to providing canoes and transportation for the river trips, they also rent canoes and kayaks for the Des Plaines Marathon and the Mid American canoe race.  Schmidt's Canoeing Service also offers Instruction on canoeing, safety advice, and tips on where to find other canoe trips, or outdoor equipment.

They cater to everyone from a single canoeist to large groups.  With 28 canoes and 7 kayaks Schmidt's Canoeing Service can meet the needs of about anyone wanting to paddle the river.

Schmidt's Canoeing Service runs trips from the beginning of May to the end of October, depending on the weather.
